Should Canada focus on cultivating new economic partnerships with emerging powers such as China, India, Mexico and Brazil?

If you want to have any relations with China I think it would diminish our reputation as peace keepers, since right now there are 1000 of people being detained for praticing Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa is not a threat to no government, country, indivual or anything else for that matter. As believe that Canada should try to cultivate economic partnerships with coutries of simular intrest, and not try and take advantage of any other country under the guise of globalization. Then Canada can help developing contries get started.
