Question 4: Security

In promoting the security of Canadians, where should our priorities lie? Should Canada give a higher priority to military combat operations? To sectors such as intelligence gathering and analysis? Or should we focus on broader security measures, such as combatting environmental degradation and the spread of infectious disease? What should be our distinctive role in promoting global security?

Answer:
I think we should focus on broader security measures, such as combatting environmental degradation and the spread of infectious disease. If the warnings of people like David Suzuki are not heeded we may not have a planet left to try to make secure! I've been in Ukraine and the pollution is unbelievable...old vehicles, the worst kind of cigarettes that wouldn't be allowed in Canada or even the USA! No one is helping these countries to combat environmental degradation......can we not champion such things?
